About Course

Description:

The purpose of this short learning programme on being a responsible digital citizen is to provide you with skills and enhance values on how to navigate and participate in online spaces responsibly, ethically, safely, and effectively. This will prepare you as a professional and a conscientious member of a global society who can make informed decisions about your digital footprints and shadows.

Admission Requirements:

You must be 18 years or older.

You must have access to an internet-enabled device.

You must have clear understanding of English.

No prior knowledge of the topic is required.

Course Curriculum

Completion of this course will enable you to:

• Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the rights, responsibilities, principles, and practices of digital citizenship, including online privacy and security.

• Explore the impact of cyberbullying and deploy preventative methods.

• Assess the credibility and reliability of information sources found on the web to recognise potential biases or misinformation.

• Analyse risks associated with social media usage from both individual and societal perspectives.

• Formulate responsible engagement strategies that minimise negative impacts while maximising positive contributions towards an interconnected global community.

• Foster inclusive environments by promoting respect towards diversity within digital communities.
