Description:
The purpose of this MEd in Educational Management programme is to enable students to develop the professional skills, knowledge and attitudes necessary for competent school leaders and managers. Students will develop intellectual, theoretical and disciplinary knowledge of and insight into theories, concepts, and practices in educational leadership and management. The programme is aimed at emerging and practising educational leaders/managers in schools or administrative positions, and it focuses on the professionalisation of educational leadership and management practice, building capacity in educational management research, and preparing students for further postgraduate research.Admission Requirements:
Qualified teachers, senior education managers holding a BEd Honours degree or a Postgraduate Diploma in Education in Leadership and Management (or its equivalent) may be allowed into the programme. An average of 65% for the previous degree is required, and the programme coordinator may conduct interviews. Applicants must also have strong computer skills and reliable internet access.
