Description:

The purpose of this SLP is to provide students with a theoretical understanding and the practical skills to implement sound corporate governance structures and practices. The programme further aims to provide those with governance responsibilities in the private and public sectors with the knowledge and skills to identify the limitations of existing corporate governance structures and practices and recommend improvements. The SLP promotes ethical leadership attributes needed for a well-functioning society.

Admission Requirements:

The SLP is offered as a non-credit-bearing program to students who hold any other qualification at an NQF level 7.

Application for recognition of prior learning experience in the fields related to corporate governance can also be considered.

Curriculum:

  • The Legal and regulatory environment effects corporate governance.
  • Fraud and corruption Risk Governance.
  • Audit, control and Corporate governance.
  • Information risk and cyber security.
  • Corporate reporting and disclosures.
  • Risk management.
  • Corporate governance in the public sector.
